Adversity is Good
When adversity arises in our life that we do
not directly cause, we often ask the question, why me? If you are a
believer then you should not take adversity so personally. Instead we
should view adversity as a wonderful opportunity to grow up in Christ.
The whole point of our creation was to serve God. Nothing more nothing
less. When we successfully use adversity to our advantage we can
minister to others more effectively. Remember that His greatest servants
arise out of pain and hardship. ~Blessings

HumbleChic Healing
Good morning, I have learned that trying not to stay stuck in the past from a "hurt" is a difficult battle to fight. There can be something that happens throughout the course of the day that triggers the memory and you feel the sting of it all over again. Not a good feeling and can hinder your healing process. But it is definitely a battle worth fighting. The good news is you don't have to do it alone. Jesus Christ is always there. Ready willing and able to help you when you have these emotional "panic attacks." Fall on your knees and cry out to Him, I can guarantee you that He will show up every time! ~ Blessings

So What Is a HumbleChic Anyway?
This is my very first post on this blog, so I thought I would take the time out to just let all who visit here know what a HumbleChic is. First, she is not weak and frail as the term "humble" is often thought of that way. Merriam Webster's online dictionary offers one definition as such, "ranking low in hierarchy or scale; insignificant." While some may use this term in this way, it is certainly not the definition to describe a HumbleChic. To me being humble in life is the most wisest way to live. Worldly idealist cringe at the thought of submission, and may not get this concept. Hey, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. #respect! But, I like Merriam Webster's other definition of humble, "reflecting, expressing, or offered in a spirit of deference or submission." This definition suits the meaning of a HumbleChic much better. Being a self proclaimed HumbleChic has really nothing to do with me at all, but has everything to do with God. So to get this concept and understand my blog, you must know first and foremost the I have accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior and I have surrendered my life and everything in my life to Him. I am not convinced that life without Him is good. I know that I cannot function without Him and my goal each and everyday is to humble myself before Him as wife, mom, sister and friend in everything that I do. Do I always get it right? ABSOLUTELY not! I am flawed, fall short and don't profess to be perfect or profess to have arrived. This is a lifelong journey and I am learning each and everyday. I am forever His student! This blog is a place for me to share and connect with other women who strive to live a humble life in submission to the Most High in every aspect of life and share what I am learning along the way.
